It keeps his hot drinks hot all day. It is easy to clean. The size is perfect for his needs. I don’t think he has any problems with it leaking as long as the lid is on tight and the plunger is down, but I don’t know if he has turned it upside down! I think it is of good quality and I will continue to purchase this one as the need arises!”

I looked for a lot of features to include fitting in cup holder, dishwasher safe, a good seal for transporting (close the drinking opening and tighten down the plunger), and a reasonably comfortable drinking opening. Also easy to pour if transferring to a cup. My daughter uses milk, so she said “add the milk after brewing but before plunging”. She likes it too! The plunger stem is somewhat thin but works well. Cannot speak to long-term durability (yet) but its a very good price too.”

So I figure I would give the Stanley travel mug a try. Multipurpose. Multifunctional. And hopefully it makes a good cup of coffee. We took it on a dry run for two weeks in Puerto Rico. And I really fell in love with this product. It makes a great cup of coffee. It’s very convenient. It’s easy to clean. And it also doubles as a place to keep your cocktails cold while at the beach. Customer Review: “I use this while camping. I use this on a long work day of driving. I use this with coffee grounds, and my tea was also delicious in here. First things first, this is perfect for on the go hot drinks. It doesn’t stay boiling hot for hours, which I like, because if I use the French press feature, the water I use to make my coffee has to be boiling. My issue with other mugs is they do their job too well. I typically can’t enjoy my coffee right after prepping it. With this, I don’t have to leave the lid off for a half an hour before it becomes drinkable. That saves me from potential spills. Now you might be thinking, so this insulation is junk. No, you should still be cautious and test the drinks out. It keeps things warm, trust me. The pieces of the French press are easy to use. The filter twists off the depresser, for easy cleaning. The mug is small and the stainless steel inside is easy to clean. My only hiccup is the lid, with two convoluted, spinning pieces. They could have done less with this lid. It’s not hard to use the lid, but it’s also not the most comfortable. I don’t know how to describe it. It is cute overall, but people would have still loved the product if it was a simpler lid design. The handle also seems weak, but that’s because it is dainty. I’m used to thick plastic handles, but this is a thin metal one. It feels strong. I hope it will hold up to the test of time, especially at the hinges.”

Understanding how a French press works and knowing what to expect, I can confidently give it five stars. The insulation works fantastically — my coffee is piping hot after plunging still rather warm up to two hours later. This has been a large issue with my other presses (including those from Bodum). Thank the maker, my coffee no longer goes cold. And the volume is enough that I get a heavy dose of good French pressed coffee every day (even with up to three scoops of grinds). Not like some small presses that force me to make a second cup.”

Customer Review: “I love this product. I have had it for about a month now, juggling use between it, a (official brand) Yeti Cup, and an Aerobi Coffee Press. Bottom Line, this is the best product of the three. I purchased The Chrome/Black Stainless Steel Travel French Press at about $19. Negatives. This does not come with an extra, non-press, lid. Since the product description is shared among multiple Bodum products, this aspect is unclear, and can be misleading. The mouth piece is comfortable, however the closure device is not the best. It clips closed, but is not very tight and does not inspire confidence. It also does not clip securely into the open position. The plunger hole through the lid allows a bit of wiggle room, therefore, it is possible for liquid to come out of the top, if the cup falls over. A possible additional negative or a positive is the fact that the double-wall insulation is effective on the level of the Yeti Cup. I burn my mouth about once every 3 days since I’m not patient enough to wait an hour for the coffee to cool down. I suggest pouring a more temperate cup of coffee, or leaving the lid off while the grounds steep for an extended period of time. The Bodum is obviously not as big as the Yeti Cup, so depending on your preferences, this may be a positive or negative as well.”

I went with this instead of more well known brands such as Bodum because this item is entirely metal. I specially didn’t want any plastic to come in contact with hot water. The lid is flexible silicon and detaches easily or has a snap closure drinking hole if desired. I bought these to do coffee sample tasting for different coffee roasts, and these are perfect to make a small batch to pour into tiny sample cups.”
